So, Euro 2012 looms large (first match 8 June, Poland v Greece). Controversy over England team’s decision stay in Krakow – between 500-1000 miles from the stadiums in which they’ll play depending on which match. Whilst I understand the attraction of Krakow more than most, must say does seem a bit mad. Plus the England set up wants to ensure the team not as cut off from the public as in South Africa, so they’ve stuck them slap bang in the middle of Krakow’s compact old town, with the WAGs a stone’s throw away. The local police have declared they fear the England fans more than any other nationality. What a recipe! Let’s hope everything goes smoothly, and England does well, but wouldn’t surprise me at all if there were cock-ups and incidents to rival those surrounding the England camp at previous tournaments.
