Poles in the UK

Picking up on my previous “Young Poles” blog, was intrigued to spot on the web yesterday an article about an intended comprehensive survey of Poles in the UK.  The link to the article has gone down, but I hope it’s true: it’d be nice to have detailed facts and figures about the role of Poles here since they were allowed in (following Polish membership of the EU in 2004).  Though no doubt the process hasn’t been painless for Poles or Brits, I’m sure a study would be largely positive and help expose those Little Englanders averse to immigration from Eastern Europe.  In any case, as hinted at in the Foreword to Polska Dotty, I intend to give my own take on this at some point.
