Movie Review: Bitwa Warszawska

Took in the latest Hoffman movie last night – Bitwa Warszawska – the Battle of Warsaw.  About a 1920 war little known to the West in which the Poles inflicted an unlikely defeat on the Bolsheviks and delayed the westward march of Communism by 25 years.  The usual Hoffman gore and big battle scenes.  Nicely shot, but lacking something.  Try Ogniem i Mieczem for an altogether grander experience.
